How to Find Us
We meet up in the Park Life Community Hub in Heavitree Pleasure Ground. Finding us can be a little complicated, especially for first-timers and people who aren't overly familiar with Exeter. Here's a full explanation…
Address
Park Life Community Hub
Heavitree Pleasure Ground
Whipton Lane
EXETER
EX1 3DS
For some reason the Post Code sometimes comes up as EX1 3DN. This is too far up Whipton Lane, we are much closer to (opposite) Number 2 Whipton Lane. See the heading Access to Park Life Community Hub below.
Furthermore, if you look up the location / address on Google or Apple maps don't be put off by the stated 4:00pm or 5:00pm closing time! That is for the Park Life Café only. We are in the adjacent Park Life Community Hub and definitely open on Monday evenings from 7:15 for a 7:30 start.
Access to Park Life Community Hub
The easiest way into the venue itself is NOT via the park's Whipton Lane main entrance with stone pillars and archway. Instead, take the narrower footpath a few meters to the right along the pavement. Look for a break in the low wall (opposite number 2 Whipton Lane) and it'll lead you straight to the correct door. It's well lit in the winter months and you won't end up knocking on the wrong door or having to go all the way around the Park Life building!
Parking
The Park Life Community Hub is located just inside Heavitree Park: there is no actual car park. But there should be spaces nearby on Whipton Lane, the Gordon's Place car park (free after 6:00) or even the (not operational in the evening) bus lane on Heavitree Fore Street. If you come by bicycle, there are several spaces to securely lock up on nearly all sides of the Hub.
Public Transport
Depending on your direction of travel, the nearest Bus Stops are located either directly opposite or just beyond the junction of Whipton Lane and Heavitree Fore Street, and are served by Routes 4 / 4A and 9 / 9A.
